Perfect Notes

1 Marlborough Road

St James

We are directly opposite the Doddridge Centre.

Welcome to our Music School

As Northampton's leading private music school, we are located in a two storey building that provides several teaching rooms and a reception / waiting area.

There is adequate on-street parking and entrance can only by gained by staff and students with a security card thus creating a safe environment for all.

All our teachers are CRB checked and offer the highest quality of instruction in their subjects, providing lessons tailored to suit all ages and musical needs.

We teach many instruments including Piano, Electric Keyboard, Organ, Flute, Recorder, Violin, Singing, all styles of Guitar and Music Theory. Aural and Sight Reading can also be offered as subjects in their own right and we are able to assist with forthcoming exams.

Everyone has the ability to learn, read and play music; you can start with us as an absolute beginner with no previous musical knowledge and progress to the level you wish to attain.

We stage regular concerts in aid of local charities and all students are given the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends. This provides essential experience for aspiring musicians to perform in public and helps to build confidence generally.

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my beloved husband, Glyn Appleby, on Monday 6th April 2020.

Glyn played a significant role in the creation of Perfect Notes and it was his belief in me that made the business concept a reality; a music school for all ages. He played a vital role in advertising and marketing and many of you will have known him through his contributions to our concerts and other events. Glyn had many fond memories of the students he had seen perform and he was delighted to see their musical progress from year to year.

Due to the Coronavirus, Glyn's funeral service is limited to family only but when the current restrictions are lifted I fully intend on celebrating his life with a memorial service.
