| Electric Keyboard and Electric
Organ Music for pleasure Our flexible approach to teaching means keyboard and organ courses are structured to suit your ability to learn. If you choose to learn the keyboard, you have the option either to bring your own and receive guidance on its use, or to use one of the schools. With just one lesson a week and practice in your own home, you will be amazed how quickly you progress and play many well known tunes. One-to-one lessons or shared lessons of two students are half an hour in length, and occasionally one hour beginner classes are run for the keyboard. Shared or group lessons offer excellent value being slightly cheaper in price. The minimum age requirement is 6 years upwards and adults and children are usually taught separately. Group learning is very successful and many students progress to a high standard of playing. Qualifications For those wishing to measure their progress or gain recognised qualifications, students can be entered for examinations through the London College of Music. Exams range from elementary level for the new/younger student up to Grade 8 or Diploma for the more experienced musician. Perfect Notes has an excellent pass rate for examinations with many students awarded Merit or Distinction. Concerts Every year the Music School stages concerts in aid of local charities and all students are given the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends. This is not only provides essential experience for aspiring musicians to perform in public but builds confidence generally. For information on availability of lessons please contact Karen |
